What changes

lib-cache-tiered-redis declares Caffeine as api instead of implementation, so it is on the compile classpath of every module that uses the library.

Why

AbstractTieredCache keeps its L1 in a Caffeine-typed field. Micronaut needs Caffeine at compile time to generate the bean definition of a subclass declared as a bean. Without it the bean is skipped with only a compile warning, and the application fails at startup. seqeralabs/sched#1742 hit this on 1.2.0 and had to declare Caffeine itself.

How

  • build.gradle: Caffeine moves from implementation to api, same version (3.1.8).
  • The module goes to 1.2.1 with a changelog entry and the README dependency version bumped; [release] publishes it on merge.

Testing

  • The generated POM lists Caffeine at compile scope (runtime in 1.2.0).
  • ./gradlew :lib-cache-tiered-redis:test passes (Redis Testcontainer).
  • sched#1742 will drop its own Caffeine line on 1.2.1 and check that the cache bean definitions are still generated.

…2.1)

AbstractTieredCache keeps its L1 in a Caffeine-typed field, so a subclass
declared as a Micronaut bean needs Caffeine on its compile classpath. With
Caffeine runtime-only, Micronaut skipped generating the subclass's bean
definition (a compile warning), and the application failed at startup.

Publishes 1.2.1 (#170): its squash-merge commit did not carry [release],
so CI skipped publishing.
