Not a problem per se, but I've been using NMS to make a Mannequin sleep.
Currently only HumanEntity/Villager have sleep/wake methods.
Describe the solution you'd like.
Minecraft's LivingEntity class has startSleeping(BlockPos) and stopSleeping methods.
I (for fun) tested this on a few entities to see if it works.
Zombie, sheep, pillager, skeleton... they all work.
Funny results, but they do work.

Works fine. Not all poses work, but sleeping is one that works. See https://jd.papermc.io/paper/1.21.11/org/bukkit/entity/Mannequin.html#validPoses() for validation.

From my experience:
a) teleported to foot of bed, set pose
b) teleported to head of bed, set pose
c) used NMS

Added in #13758 (also allowing mannequins to sleep/wakeup under these methods as well)

Setting the pose works fine with the correct position/rotation:
So for cosmetic use you can already do it now.

The current sleep behaviour in Vanilla make more hard to implement an API and avoid the issues mentioned in the last PR.
