Complex in C#: a RubyComplex type, its arithmetic and Kernel#Complex; Math.hypot rounds as libm - #121
This PR is the second half of #89's Rational/Complex item. #120 did Rational the same way.
Until now a Complex was a plain Numeric with @real and @image, and every operation went through complex.rb's helpers.
Changes
A CLR type for Complex.RubyComplex (Src/Libraries/Builtins/RubyComplex.cs) is now the CLR type of the Complex class.
It holds two fields and is frozen from birth, and #instance_variables is empty.
#real, #imaginary/#imag, __raw__, and the __ir_set_parts__ that #marshal_load uses are C#.
Arithmetic in C#.+, -, *, /, quo, ==, #hash and #abs/#magnitude are C# when the parts and operands are Integers or Floats.
They follow complex.c's f_add/f_sub/f_mul, safe_mul, comp_mul and f_divide. That includes skipping an exact 0 or 1 operand, and reducing a Float multiplied by a zero to its sign first, which ruby/spec observes.
Everything else goes to complex.rb's __ir_*_slow__ methods, which are the old Ruby methods renamed (now private):
Rational parts and Bignums;
integer division, which makes Rationals;
coercion.
Comparable's #== is no longer undefined in Complex, because Complex's own #== is already in the method table. Complex(1) < 2 is still a NoMethodError.
Kernel#Complex is C# for Integers and Floats, with MRI's arity (-1) and messages. Anything else goes to complex.rb's __ir_Complex_slow__. Integer#to_c and Float#to_c are also C#.
Math.hypot now rounds the way libm does. It computes the squares and their sum to about twice double precision, takes one Newton step on the root, and scales by powers of two when a square would overflow or underflow.
Before, Complex(3.5, -1).abs was one unit in the last place off.
Of 20,000 random cases, 9 still differ from CRuby in the last place; the old formula differed in about 900.

Division with Integer parts (Complex(1, 2) / Complex(3, -1), which makes Rationals) still goes through complex.rb: ~6 µs here, ~1.7 µs in CRuby.
Testing
IronRuby.Tests passes with no failures. The new test Complex_CSharp1 takes CRuby's output as its expected output. It covers:
Integer, Float and Rational parts;
Infinity times 0, signed zeros, NaN;
coercion, Marshal and hash keys;
Kernel#Complex, #to_c, Math.hypot;
the undefined comparison operators.
ruby/spec with no failures:core/complex, core/math, core/numeric, core/float, core/kernel, core/marshal, library/matrix, library/bigdecimal and language.
ruby/spec with known errors:core/rational (4) and core/integer (15) have the same counts as master. They come from mspec's fixnum_max() helper.
… Math.hypot rounds as libm (#89)
A Complex was a plain Numeric with @real and @image, and every operation
went through complex.rb's helpers: a * b cost ~3.7 us, Complex(1, 2) ~1.7
(CRuby ~140 and ~70 ns).
- RubyComplex (Src/Libraries/Builtins/RubyComplex.cs) is the Complex

Float times a zero reduced to its sign first). Rational parts, Bignums,
integer division (which makes Rationals) and coercion go to complex.rb's
__ir_*_slow__ methods, which are the old Ruby methods renamed.
Comparable's #== is no longer undefined in Complex: Complex's own is
already in the table.
- Kernel#Complex is C# for Integers and Floats; the rest is complex.rb's
__ir_Complex_slow__. Integer#to_c and Float#to_c are C#.
- Math.hypot rounds as libm does: the squares and their sum to about twice
double precision, one Newton step on the root, powers-of-two scaling for
squares that would overflow or underflow. Of 20,000 random cases 9 differ
from CRuby in the last place, against ~900 with the scaled formula, which
made Complex(3.5, -1).abs one unit off.

The PR adds a C# RubyComplex type with arithmetic and comparison fast paths, updates Ruby complex methods to serve as slow-path helpers, adds numeric conversions and construction paths, and registers runtime tests covering complex and Rational behavior.
Changes: Complex Number Runtime Support
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Ruby component access and slow paths Src/StdLib/ironruby/ironruby/complex.rb
Complex methods read components through real and imaginary. Ruby implementations become private slow-path helpers. Marshal loading and Kernel#Complex delegate to C# methods.
C# complex representation and operations Src/Libraries/Builtins/RubyComplex.cs, Src/Libraries/Builtins/RubyMath.cs
RubyComplex stores components and implements fast paths for arithmetic, equality, hashing, and magnitude. HypotDouble uses scaling and compensated calculations.
Construction, conversions, and runtime tests Src/Libraries/Builtins/KernelOps.cs, Src/Libraries/Builtins/Integer.cs, Src/Libraries/Builtins/FloatOps.cs, Src/IronRuby.Tests/RubyTests.cs, Src/IronRuby.Tests/Runtime/MiscTests.cs
Kernel#Complex constructs supported numeric inputs directly and delegates other inputs to Ruby. Integer#to_c and Float#to_c are added. The test suite registers complex tests and adds Rational Int32-boundary cases.

- Line 106: Update Plus and Minus to detect long overflow before accepting their
arithmetic results, including when called with products from Multiply; on
overflow, compute the result with BigInteger and pass it to Protocols.Normalize.
Preserve the existing normalized long fast path when no overflow occurs and the
existing fallback for non-long operands.

comp_mul adds and subtracts products of two Int32-sized parts, which can
pass a long: Complex(-2**31, -2**31) ** 2 came out with -2**63 for its
imaginary part, where it is 2**63. Plus and Minus detect the overflow and
take a BigInteger. Rational_CSharp1 also gains cases at the Int32 edges,
where RubyRational leaves long arithmetic for BigInteger.
