Scheduled messages in the Compose sample, and a loaded marker - #6913
Fourth step of scheduled messages, on top of the offline-first scheduling from #6907: the Compose sample schedules, edits, reschedules, sends now and deletes scheduled messages, so the feature can be tried and tested end to end. No SDK UI components yet; they wait for the design (DES-241).
Implementation
SDK: ChatClient.hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages tells "none" apart from "not loaded yet". It is true once a query of every channel and status returns its last page, and false again when the connection is lost or the user disconnects. This is the marker Schedule messages offline first and keep their state on the device #6907 mentioned.
Sample, behind a new "Scheduled messages" switch in Advanced options (off by default), and only in channels with the schedule-message capability:
Long press on send (through the MessageComposerSendButton factory slot): tomorrow at 9:00 and 13:00, next Monday at 9:00, or a custom date and time (Material 3 pickers, refused under 1 minute or over 120 days).
A banner under the channel or thread header: failed first, then waiting for connection, then the count, with View.
A Scheduled messages screen: failed first, then by day. A tap opens the actions the status allows: edit in the composer, reschedule, send now, try again, "Edit & reschedule" for a message the server failed to send, copy text when its channel was deleted, and delete with a confirmation.
Snackbars with the server's answer and date, or "Queued until you're online".
Edit in the composer reuses its public API (buildNewMessage, setMessageInput, addAttachments, clearData), and picked attachments go through AttachmentStorageHelper.resolveAttachmentFiles (opted in). Mentions are kept while still in the text.
Login: a "US East staging" section with the four staging users (demo flavor only). The staging base URL comes from the API key, and staging uses the plain channel filter, as it has no predefined one.
Stable test tags on the new elements, for the e2e tests in PR 6.
Known gaps for integrators, to handle with the SDK UI work: AttachmentStorageHelper is internal API, and the picker's clearSelection() is internal, so its checkmarks can stay after scheduling. CompoundComponentFactory rebuilds its factory on every recomposition (AND-1757); the sample provides its own remembered factory.

Testing
On the login screen, open Advanced options, turn on "Scheduled messages", go back, and log in as Alice under "US East staging".
Open a channel, type a message and long press send: pick "Tomorrow at 9:00". The composer empties, a snackbar shows the date from the server, and the banner counts the message. It is not in the message list.
Tap View: the message is under its day. Tap it to try Reschedule, Edit message (the checkmark saves and keeps the date), Send now (the message shows in the channel) and Delete.
Long press send again and pick Custom time: a time less than a minute away shows an error and disables Schedule.
In a thread, schedule a reply: the thread banner counts it, and it is not in the thread.
With the switch off, none of this shows.
Validation:
./gradlew spotlessApply detekt apiDump testDebugUnitTest (all modules): passed. The .api diff is one line, getHasLoadedAllScheduledMessages.
After the last review fixes: spotlessApply, detekt (all modules), :stream-chat-android-client:apiCheck, :stream-chat-android-client:testDebugUnitTest and :stream-chat-android-compose-sample:testDemoDebugUnitTest (43 tests), and both sample flavors build.
New unit tests: ScheduledMessageManagerTest (the marker), ScheduledMessagesViewModelTest, ChannelScheduledMessagesViewModelTest, ScheduledMessageActionTest, ScheduledMessageDatesTest.
Checked on an emulator against the staging app: the flows above, the server's rounded time, the channel limit failure, and that deletes reach the server.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added scheduled-message support to the Compose sample, including a dedicated message list, scheduling and rescheduling controls, quick time options, and actions to send, edit, retry, or delete messages.
Added an optional scheduled-messages setting and navigation entry with a pending-message count.
Added an observable indicator for when all scheduled messages have loaded.
…messages are loaded
ChatClient.hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages is true once a query of every
channel and status returns its last page, and false again when the
connection is lost or the user disconnects.
The Compose sample schedules a message with a long press on send, with
quick times or a custom date and time. A banner under the channel and
thread header counts the scheduled messages, and a Scheduled messages
screen lists them, failed first, then by day, with the actions each
status allows: edit in the composer, reschedule, send now, retry,
schedule again, copy and delete. Results show in snackbars.
A Scheduled messages switch in Advanced options turns this on, and the
login screen lists the users of the US East staging app.
Note: CodeRabbit is an incremental review system and does not re-review already reviewed commits. This command is applicable only when automatic reviews are paused.
The client now exposes whether all scheduled messages have loaded and resets that state when the connection is lost or the manager stops. The Compose sample adds scheduled-message creation, editing, listing, and actions, with date selection, status feedback, and a feature setting. The sample also adds staging-account access and scheduled-message navigation.
Priority: Normal
Merge Risk: Low · up to caa4c
The change adds scheduled-message flows to the sample app and a loaded marker on the client. Remaining issues are narrow: the feature does nothing with adaptive layout, staging test tokens are committed, a stale loaded flag is possible after a reconnect, large lists are truncated, and the send button can fire while input is invalid. These are worth fixing before merge but do not put production behavior at serious risk.

Explanation
The title names two real parts of the changeset: the Compose sample's scheduled-message flows and the new hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages marker in the SDK. It is a little broad and does not name the main point, which is the sample feature set. Both halves are present in the diff, so the title is related and does not fail.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template sections Goal, Implementation, Testing, and Checklist. It names the linked issue (AND-1738) and explains the SDK marker and the sample flows. The Testing section gives manual steps and the Gradle commands run. The Checklist is not visibly ticked, and no issue link is set as a checkbox, so the checklist state is unclear. The sections are otherwise complete.

… page, and turn off scheduling with the adaptive layout
A query that ends after the connection was lost or the user
disconnected no longer sets hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages, as events can
have been missed meanwhile. The Scheduled messages screen loads every
page. The Scheduled messages switch is turned off while the adaptive
layout is on, as that layout has no scheduled messages yet.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
The sample looks thorough and well tested. My main concern is hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages: it's the one piece of public API here and later UI will rely on it, but it can say "complete" when it isn't (first two comments). The sample comments could be fixed here or in a follow-up.
…he sample review
hasLoadedAllScheduledMessages becomes true only when one page holds
every scheduled message, as only such a query removes the ones the
server no longer has. A load of several pages leaves it false.
In the sample, Edit & reschedule deletes the old message as soon as the
new one is saved locally, scheduling stays off with the adaptive layout
also in a channel opened from it, and the drawer counts the scheduled
messages known on the device without loading them. The Scheduled
messages screen keeps what it loaded when the connection drops, shows
that it can't load while offline with nothing known, and passes the
offline state to the reschedule sheet.
